Chanel’s Fall 2026 Footwear Collection Showcases Bold Metallics and Striking Embellishments
During Paris Fashion Week, Matthieu Blazy unveiled an impressive array of footwear for Chanel’s Fall 2026 collection, captivating an audience that included notable figures such as Teyana Taylor, Margot Robbie, and Lily-Rose Depp in the front row.
The comprehensive footwear lineup featured an extensive range of styles, from slingbacks and sandals to mules, pumps, boots, and loafers. Each design explored various elements including decorative details, vibrant hues, innovative silhouettes, and diverse materials, creating a collection that balanced timeless elegance with contemporary flair.
Among the more traditional offerings were cap-toe slingback pumps featuring substantial block heels with a distinctive flared design, staying true to the iconic cap-toe aesthetic that has become synonymous with the fashion house.
The designer also introduced logo-detailed loafers in both elevated block-heel versions and classic flat styles. These pieces gained additional visual impact through the incorporation of striking metallic tones including silver and gold, alongside rich plum shades.
For those seeking more adventurous designs, Blazy reimagined the classic cap-toe through colorful striped pumps and form-fitting thigh-high boots. Particularly noteworthy were the avant-garde mule designs that dominated the runway, distinguished by their high-cut uppers and distinctive squared toes featuring triangular cap-toe details. The geometric vamp design echoed these angular accents, while flared heels provided additional architectural interest.
The collection demonstrated a playful approach to ornamentation through various embellished designs. Strappy heeled sandals featured vibrant floral appliqués positioned at the front, complemented by unconventional fuzzy heel treatments that added textural intrigue.
Multiple strap-based heel designs appeared throughout the show, including futuristic slingbacks that achieved their modern aesthetic through innovative strap arrangements and bold color-blocking techniques.
This footwear collection builds upon Blazy’s inaugural Spring 2026 presentation, where he first introduced his reinterpretations of classic cap-toe designs alongside other signature styles. His distinctive preference for contemporary linear elements has remained consistent across both seasonal collections, establishing a clear design philosophy for his tenure at the house.
