Whoop Introduces Women’s Health Blood Testing Panel and Menstrual Cycle Tracking Features

The fitness tracking company Whoop has unveiled a specialized blood testing panel designed specifically for women’s health monitoring through its Whoop Labs diagnostic service. Alongside this launch, the company has introduced an innovative app feature that provides detailed insights into hormonal fluctuations throughout menstrual cycles.

The comprehensive testing panel analyzes eleven distinct blood biomarkers that offer valuable information about reproductive health and hormonal balance. These biomarkers include Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH), Progesterone, Prolactin, Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPOAb), Free T4, Free T3, Leptin, Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin), Folate, Magnesium, and Phosphate (as Phosphorus).

According to Whoop, these biomarker measurements provide users with crucial insights into perimenopause symptoms, thyroid health, nutritional status, and bone metabolism when combined with the device’s existing data on physical activity, sleep patterns, and recovery metrics.

The blood testing service will become available for purchase beginning next month. When Whoop initially launched its blood testing platform in September 2025, the company reported having more than 350,000 individuals on its waiting list.

The company has also introduced a new app functionality called Hormonal Symptom Insights and Predictions. This feature creates personalized models of hormonal variations throughout menstrual cycles by analyzing historical user data. The system uses these models to forecast potential dates for upcoming periods, provide analysis of cycle duration and regularity, and identify individual symptom patterns.

Whoop explained that this new feature can integrate with laboratory test results to categorize biomarker levels as ‘optimal,’ ‘sufficient,’ or ‘out of range,’ providing users with clearer health assessments.

To support these new capabilities, Whoop has published a comprehensive research paper detailing the scientific methodology behind their menstrual cycle modeling technology.

The fitness wearable industry has increasingly focused on developing features specifically for women’s health needs, responding to demands from this previously underserved market segment. Recently, smart ring manufacturer Oura introduced an artificial intelligence model dedicated to women’s health monitoring, accompanied by a chatbot designed to interpret health data and respond to user inquiries.

Whoop reported on Tuesday that female users of its devices have increased by 150% compared to the previous year, representing the company’s most rapidly expanding demographic. The data also revealed that women interact 30% more frequently with the company’s AI-powered features than other user groups.

This trend reflects broader industry patterns, with Oura’s chief commercial officer previously noting that women in their twenties constitute that company’s fastest-growing user base as of October 2025.
